Triathlon Magazines and Triathlon Magazine Subscriptions

Triathlete Magazine

Triathlete Magazine

One of my favorites triathlon magazines is,Triathlon Magazine, which I consider a must read for all budding triathletes and Ironman competitors. Triathlete Magazine, which along with having fantastic style, also has great coverage of the official Ironman Qualifiers and Ironman Championships. It is very thick in content and each issue is full of great triathlon training and gear information. There is a little less plan-specific information in this magazine, but they make up for it with great gear sections. The cheapest price I’ve found is through Amazon for 29.95 and is well worth the money.

Inside Triathlon Magazine

Inside Triathlon

Anyone looking for Triathlon Magazines should look no further than Inside Triathlon Magazine. Inside Triathlon is a fantastic magazine because it has a great deal of relevant content, including triathlon training information, triathlon news, and triathlon gear reviews. I subscribe to it because it keeps me up to date on race results, the championship qualifiers, and helps me improve my running, cycling, and swimming.

The cheapest price I’ve found is 1 year for 19.95 and you can subscribe without giving your credit card information online here. As far as a Triathlon Magazine goes, you can’t beat this magazine for the price. The motivation you’ll get out of reading it is worth the price alone!

Bicycling Magazine

Bicycling Magazine

You’ve probably heard of or seen Bicycling Magazine, but have you spent any time reading it? I hadn’t really started reading it until I picked it up for a cycling gear special, at which point I became hooked. Bicycling Magazine covers cycling like no other magazine and as a result can help you tweak and fine tune the cycling portion of your triathlon training to perfection. I also love Bicycling Magazine because it often features new and older model road and triathlon bicycles that everyday cyclists can afford to purchase. They also have a great section on gear reviews. I use this magazine to keep abreast on all the latest gear as well as to get specific riding tips. Bicycling Magazine is another inexpensive way to get extra tips and news and I found it on Amazon for $19.94.

Trail Runner Magazine

May 26th, 2008

Trail Runner Magazine

This magazine is not exactly a Triathlon Magazine, but considering the terrain in which some Triathlons are performed in, Trail Runner may help you make up time on the rough runs. Although it is heavily focused on mountain running, you can find lots of great information on supplementation, gear, and other products in this magazine. For triathletes that also enjoy races like XTERRA or the North Face Endurance Challenge, you will find this magazine especially useful. I found Trail Runner for $19.95 on Amazon.

Runners World

Runners World Magazine

There is absolutely no reason not to have a subscription to Runner’s World Magazine. Ok, it technically is not a Triathlon Magazine, but Runner’s World has a fantastic selection of running content and training information. Every issue (I am a subscriber) is packed with TONS of training help for novices and experts alike. I highly recommend getting Runner’s World delivered because it will motivate you to run and give you expert advice you may not get in other magazines. By combining this magazine with a triathlon magazine and Bicycling Magazine, you will be able to hit your peak in all phases of a triathlon. Runners World is a cheap subscription too at only around $20 per year at Amazon.
